Growing Without Pain – Helping Little Feet Move Freely
Paediatric Foot Problems – Dr. Mangal’s Speciality Clinic
Paediatric foot problems refer to conditions that affect the feet of children as they grow. Since children’s bones, muscles, and joints are still developing, even small issues can affect walking, posture, or overall growth if not treated early. Many foot problems in kids are painless and improve with age, but some may need medical assessment to avoid long-term complications.
Types of Paediatric Foot Problems We Treat
- Flat Feet – The foot arch is low or absent. Common in young children and usually improves with age
- Toe Walking –A child walks on their toes instead of using the full foot. Persistent toe walking may need evaluation
- In-toeing –Feet point inward while walking. Often related to hip, leg, or foot alignment
- Out-toeing –Feet point outward when walking. Can be due to bone positioning or muscle imbalance
- Clubfoot –A congenital deformity where the foot is twisted inward and downward. Needs early treatment
- Sever’s Disease –Pain at the back of the heel due to irritation of the growth plate. Seen in active kids aged 8–14
- Knock Knees & Bow Legs –Leg alignment issues that can affect walking and foot posture
